Psychology Essays and Reports
Marked essay examples are helpful for psychology students. The grades varied from B- to A+. Overall, the essays are well written and well referenced. The B graded essays did not follow the PESEL structure well (Point, Explain, Support Evidence and Link). There was more need for critical thinking, focus and originality. To stay focused means to make sure that every paragraph should aim to answer the essay topic. It is not enough to describe a study and criticise the methods used in the study. Take critical thinking a bit further, talking about validity and reliability, ethics and applications (when it is the case). But very important, when you support evidence and mention some research, weigh in the contribution of the results or findings in answering the essay question. Don't forget that the paragraphs should flow (use linking words between paragraphs). Also, spend some time finding a couple of newly published studies you can mention in your essay.
