Why is studying psychology challenging?

Writing essays and psychological assessments can be tricky at times. Most students spend a lot of time getting things wrong before they learn from their mistakes, how to improve. This method of learning is trial and error, and it is not very efficient and constructive as often it does not lead to confidence building. When I started studying psychology, I was not getting the results I wanted, and sometimes I was doubting myself and feeling frustrated. Perhaps the biggest challenge in the way psychology is taught is that independent study and original thinking are valued at the expense of actually teaching students how to write amazing psychology papers.
